White glazed terra cotta.
Description:
The facade is divided into three bays. The first level has recessed glass doors beneath a coffered barrel vault. Closer to the street, two-foot wide pillars hold up the marquee and contain ornamental detail. On the second level, Ionic pilasters divide the bays which are topped by a floral entablature. Aligned above the pilasters are eagles and masks of drama.

Remarks:
The building briefly housed the Jesus People Church from 1978. It was restored in 1991. IAS files include a nomination form for the National Register of Historic Places, which lists the owner as HTPG Associates Ltd., Minneapolis. Nearby plaque reads: THE HISTORIC/STATE/THEATER/MINNEAPOLIS/BUILT 1921 RESTORED 1991/A PROJECT FOR THE CITY AND PEOPLE OF MPLS./BY THE MPLS. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY/(Names of Mayor and City Council members follow)/"DEDICATED TO THE PEOPLE OF MPLS.
