Description:
A series of abstract units mounted randomly on the ceiling of a train station waiting room. The units are constructed of brightly colored tile mosaics mounted on wooden bases which are completely covered. The bases are mounted to a ceiling made of wooden slats which are painted a uniform white. The units are of varying sizes and shapes; some are single-level, others are multi-level. Several units have gilded plaster fragments.

Remarks:
The installation is approximately 10 feet above the ground. The waiting room is directly underneath a reinforced concrete train platform. IAS files contain a copy of the artist's initial proposal to the Metropolitan Transit Authority.
