    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a Confederate soldier. He stands with his proper left foot forward and grasps a rifle with both hands, holding the rifle poised. He wears a brimmed hat and a uniform with utility belt and canteen. The bronze sculpture stands atop a tall granite pedestal.

    Remarks: 
    The roster of names on the back of the base was added in September 1940. Funds for adding the names were raised by a special committee which was assisted by chapters of the Sons and Daughters of the Confederacy. IAS files contain transcription of all names listed. IAS files contain related articles from Arkansas Gazette (Little Rock, AR), Sept. 5, 1940 and Arkansas Democrat (Little Rock, AR), May 26, 1968.
