    Description: 
    An abstract, wind-driven sculpture, consisting of seven columns which support three turbine-like structures. Each column is lighted from below at night. The sculpture is set in the lake, twenty feet from the shoreline. The combination of wind, water and light makes this a constantly changing sculpture.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture's design is based on a cotton molecule. The sculpture cost $60,000 and took six years to make. Funding was raised by the Lubbock Cultural Affairs Council through grants and public donations. The sculpture was part of the Council's Art in Public Places program. Deerwood Construction Company installed the sculpture. IAS files contain related articles from Lubbock Avalanche Journal, Sept. 22, 1992, pg. B-6; and, Sept. 25, 1992, pg. 2-B.
