    Description: 
    Figure of a bronze eagle mounted over the entrance to a bridge. The eagle has outspread wings and looks to the proper left. In its talons it grasps an olive branch and a bundle of arrows. A bronze plaque below the eagle has a relief of an eagle and a ship. On the left side of the plaque is the United States seal and on the right side the State of New Hampshire seal. Both seals are surrounded by bas-relief foliage with an anchor on the left and a cannon on the right.
