    Description: 
    Two site-specific sculptures. A long Western fence flanks the front of an office building. It includes an arched, elaborate entranceway and is constructed of cement which looks like petrified wood. The second installation is a concrete fish pond and fountain shaded by a concrete-thatched roof. The pond is decorated with replicas of life-like desert animals and plants.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was created in the 1920's and was sited on the grounds of Alamo Cement Company. In the 1980's the company sold the property and moved its headquarters elsewhere. The property and sculpture were purchased by Los Coyotes Joint Venture, an investment company formed by Bertrand O. Baetz, Jr., Eugene Larsen and John Colglazier. IAS files contain copies of related article from North San Antonio Times, Nov. 13, 1986 and Feb. 12, 1987.
