    Remarks: 
    The bust was awarded to Levi Hasbrouck, by the American Art Union in New York on December 20, 1850. It is one of only seven original marble statues distributed by the American Art Union, from the total of nearly 2500 works of American art distributed from 1839 to 1852. It was brought from New York to New Paltz by wagon. The headpiece was chipped, supposedly by Hylah Hasbrouck, Levi Hasbrouck's wife, about 1883.
