(Additional text on sides of base) unsigned
Description:
Figure of Confederate soldier with mustache standing at rest on top of a tall, tiered base. He wears a uniform, knee-length boots, and hat. He carries a bayonet on his proper left hip and a bedroll on his back, slung diagonally across his proper left shoulder. He holds the barrel of a rifle at chest level with both hands, the butt resting by his proper right foot. Behind his proper right leg is a tree stump. The upper portion of the base is decorated with a relief carving of a tasseled banner with four stars. A portion of the lower part of base is polished and inscribed.
