    (Bronze plaque on base:) "Lands In The Sky Totem Pole/This pole, cut from a 1,000 year old tree,/travelled over 2,000 miles through 25 states and/300 cities from Seattle to New York City and/return between March 19 and April 21 of 1962/to acquaint the people of our nation with the/Century 21 World's Fair held in Seattle,/Washington, April 21st to October 21st of 1962./Dedicated August 2, 1963/In Memory of/Chief Sealth and Chief Kitsap/Erected by/Washington State Pioneers Association/Kitsap County Historical Association/American Legion Post No. 60 unsigned
    Description: 
    A carved wooden totem pole topped by an eagle with its wings spread holding a two-headed snake in its talons. Below the eagle, on the east side of the totem pole, is a row of five tiny animal heads; below this are four lizards; and below this is the figure of Chief Sealth flanked at the base by two tribal figures, one pointing up toward the Chief. Below the eagle, on the west side of the totem pole, are three figures, each wearing a symbolic headdress. The first two figures are upside down with their arms extended over their heads. The third figure faces out and wears a headdress depicting the head of an animal. At the base is a profile of a female figure holding a basket in her proper right hand and feeding a bear with her proper left hand.
