    Description: 
    A relief of a lion's head is mounted on a slab. The slab has an inscription above the relief and is mounted over the back of a long, narrow basin. The front of the basin has two smaller reliefs of lions' heads. Water pours out of mouth of the large lion head into the basin.

    Remarks: 
    Originally located in front of the Franklintown Hotel, replacing a wooden fountain. Erected by Matilda Zimmerman in memory of Mary Rex Zimmerman, a descendant of Alexander Schaeffer, the founder of the town. Moved to its current site in 1944. For related information see Charles S.
