    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a Civil War soldier. He wears a uniform and long overcoat. He has a backpack on his back and wears a cap. He holds a bayonet at rest against his proper right shoulder. The metal sculpture stands atop a capped, rectangular pedestal. On the front bottom step of the pedestal is a plaque with a G.A.R. medal. On the proper right side of the pedestal is a plaque with crossed swords. On the back of the pedestal is a plaque with an anchor. On the proper left side is a plaque featuring a cannon. The stone pedestal ends in two steps.
