    Description: 
    Tall shaft with plaques on base and full length figure of a soldier on top. Soldier wears a wide brimmed hat, bed roll slung from proper left shoulder to proper right hip, and canteen on proper left hip. Both arms bent at the elbow, hands held chest level clasping rifle barrel. Butt of gun rests on ground. Proper left leg extends forward bent at the knee; proper left foot extends forward. Inscribed bronze plaques in niches on all four sides of trapezoidal base.
