    A totem pole containing mask faces, including three with bared teeth, topped by a bird with outspread wings. The totem is mounted on a short base with a slanted front.

    The totem pole honors Gerald H. Grosso, 1932-1988, a "native son" who was a conservator, councilman, and journalist. Grosso retrieved and preserved Ozette artifacts of the Makah civilization and was given the Makah name "Ha Tu Ba Di."
