THIS MEMORIAL IS DEDICATED TO THE 29 PEOPLE/WHO DIED AS A RESULT OF TORNADO-RELATED INJURIES./WE MISS THEM AND CHERISH THEIR MEMORIES./(List of people who died) (Bronze plaque lower front:) TORNADO MEMORIAL/SPONSORED BY/JOLIET/WILL COUNTY/PROJECT PRIDE (Back:) THOUSANDS OF/VOLUNTEERS CAME FORWARD/AFTER THE TORNADO AND HELPED/THIS AREA WITH ITS IMMEDIATE/NEEDS AND LONG-TERM RECOVERY./WE SALUTE THEIR SPIRIT WITH/THIS MEMORIAL.     Description: 
    A triangular-shaped marble slab with a rounded top. Memorial is set on a raw granite piece which tapers in slightly at the bottom. One side of the triangle has a relief of two hands shaking and the other side depicts a map of tornado's path of destruction.
