    Description: 
    An ornate memorial consisting of a tall banded column surmounted by a figure holding a pair of binoculars to his eyes with his proper right hand, while his proper left hand is placed on his hip. At the lower level of the memorial around the circumference is a castellated section with inscriptions below it. The lower level consists of a three-pointed stepped section with a figure of a Civil War soldier standing at each point. The memorial is surrounded by a low wrought iron fence.
