This sculpture depicts a male Desert Storm-era U.S. soldier in full gear with the exception of weapons. He is standing with his proper left arm at his side as he snaps a salute with his proper left hand. He is flanked by two small concrete statues; on his proper right side is an armed soldier and on his proper left side is a soldier carrying another soldier over his shoulder. The ensemble stands atop a massive concrete base, rusticated to look like stone. On the front of the base is a large bronze inscription plaque adorned with relief portraits of nine figures representing branches of the military. Lined up in a row below the inscription plaque are five bronze emblems representing branches of the military.
