    Description: 
    An eagle perched on a pile of rocks. The bird is painted on two flat cut-outs, forming side views; a 9 in. band of sheet metal connects the cut-outs to each other. The eagle is seen at rest, with its wings at its side, one foot higher than the other. The surface of the eagle is made of horizontal wood strips that have been painted with brown and white paint; the brush strokes are visible to the eye. The sculpture is supported by a vertical white painted metal post that is buried in the rock pile.

    Remarks: 
    The owner (the artist's grandson) says that this is a replica of the White Eagle gas station eagle. In 1981, the piece was moved to the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck for an exhibition and then moved back to its original location.
