    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a male American Indian stands on a tall, tapered base. The figure's proper left hand is raised, as though he is shading his eyes. He appears to be wearing a long garment with jacket, belt and neckerchief. There is a thunderbird on the back of the jacket.

    Remarks: 
    The monument was erected by land developers in 1928. The figure is known locally as "Geronimo" but it is not known whether it is intended to be a portrait of Chief Geronimo. The plaque was installed in 1985 to commemorate the Town of Monument's Centennial.
