H. 6 ft.; Granite pedestal: approx. 6 x 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 ft.; Concrete base: approx. 1 x 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 ft. Inscription:  (On base front:) To our soldiers, erected 1909 by Town of Milton in Memory of the Boys in Blue who Marched from this town to the battlefields of the Civil War. 1861-1865. All honor to those who gave their lives in their Country's Cause (Lower base front:) To Our Soldiers (Base inscribed with names of 200 Milton, VT soldiers who served in the Civil War) Description:  A standing figure of a soldier wearing a Civil War uniform, a cap with a visor and a coat to his knees. With both hands he holds a gun in front of him by the barrel. The butt of the gun rests in front of his feet.
