Description:
The sculpture is a pyramidal form comprised of a variety of rocks with a plaque affixed to one side. Individual rocks are engraved with the names of Michigan's counties. Each rock is presumed to have come from the county which bears its name. On the plaque is a relief bust of Hugh J. Gray, who wears a suit and tie and thin eyeglasses.
