    Owner:
Located 1.3 miles west of LA Highway 549 on Arkansas, Louisiana border, Parish Union County, Louisiana
    Remarks:
The idea for the monument and park originated in 1931, with former Arkansas Governor George W. Donoghey. The monument and site commemorates the centennial of the boundary settlement of the Louisiana-Arkansas line, and honors Donoghey's birthplace and childhood home. The east side of the monument commemorates Andrew Jackson, President of the United States in 1831 when the two-state boundary line was settled. The accompanying relief depicts the modes of travel in his era. The west end of the monument is dedicated to President Herbert Hoover, who was President when the monument was commissioned. The airplane commemorates Lindbergh's flight. The south side of the monument contains a plaque dedicated to Louisiana governor, Huey P. Long, a U.S. Senator at the time of the first dedication.
Over 1,500 attended the monument's dedication in 1933. Although Arkansas State Park Commission records list the acquisition of the land in 1933; Louisiana "lost" the park and it was not officially found until 1975, when the park and monument were rededicated.
