Description:
An eagle with its wings spread is perched on top of a granite sphere mounted on the point of a squat, obelisk-shaped base. The sculpture is sited in a small garden in the middle of a divided road.

Remarks:
The sculpture was installed by the Village of Lindenhurst in honor of Lindenhurst citizens who fought during World War I. The sculpture cost $2,347.63 and was ordered from Frank T. Lane of Middle Village. A nearby plaque reads: LINDENHURST HONOR ROLL 1917-WORLD-WAR-1918. IAS files contain a related article from South Bay Shopping News, July 22, 1981.
