Description:
Union soldier of the Civil War stands at parade rest in uniform. He grasps the barrel of his rifle with both hands, the butt of which rests on the ground. He wears a hat and a coat. He stands atop an inscribed base consisting of a shaft set on a platform. The bottom of the shaft features a relief of a pile of assorted equipment.
