Description:
A World War I infantryman in battle uniform stands at parade rest, with his helmet pushed back. He loosely holds the barrel of his rifle in his proper left hand, a knapsack hanging from it, the butt of the rifle resting behind his proper left foot. A uniform coat is draped over his proper right arm. The sculpture is painted black and mounted upon a short base, set upon a tall, rectangular base.

Remarks:
The sculpture commemorates community veterans. It was originally mounted upon a triangular mound of boulders, but was damaged in a truck accident. The sculpture was refurbished and the pot metal welded back together. Around 1988, the sculpture was cleaned and repainted with flat black enamel.
