Description:
Full-length portrait of General Lafayette. He wears a military uniform of the eighteenth century including breeches, boots, vest and tailed jacket with epaulets. His proper right hand rests on his chest beneath a sash. His proper left hand holds the hilt of a sword which hangs at his proper left hip. The bronze sculpture stands on a square green marble base.

The sculpture was funded by the Langeac Society. The sculpture is an exact duplicate of a sculpture in Lafayette, Louisiana and was cast by Shidoni from the same mold.
