    Description: 
    A Union Civil War soldier stands at parade rest wearing a military uniform the includes a long coat, cape, and cap. He holds the barrel of a rifle in front of him with both hands. The butt of the rifle rests near his feet. The figure stands atop an elaborate multitiered base that is decorated on the crenelated level with an anchor, the symbol of the Relief Corps, and a shield.
