Description:
The goddess of Justice stands, with her hair held back in a bun and wearing classical robes with her proper right breast exposed. She once held a sword in her proper right hand and scales in her proper left hand. The figure is painted silver.

Remarks:
In 1987, as part of courthouse dome restoration work, the sculpture was painted silver, the figure's sword and broken scales were rebuilt. IAS files contain newsclippings showing the sculpture before and after restoration. In March 1992, the sculpture suffered severe damage when it fell from the top of the courthouse during a storm. Since 1992, the sculpture has been in storage, pending repair.
