Inscription:  unsigned Description:  Nine footprints of a man's bare foot installed in pebbled sidewalk on two sides of a building; five footprints on one side and four footprints on another side. All footprints lead to building and are of the proper right foot. They are meant to represent the footprints of an African-American farmer from the area. O. Box 1898, Hattiesburg, Mississippi 39401 Located 100 Front Street/500 Main Street, Hattiesburg, Mississippi Remarks:  Title supplied by Inventory cataloger. The footprints represent those of a successful African-American farmer who came to the bank barefoot in the late 1800s or early 1900s. The footprints were installed by the bank in his honor.
