Full-length figure of a Civil War flagbearer. He wears a uniform and cap. He holds a flag against his proper left side. His reaches across with his proper right arm for his sword hanging at his proper left hip. The granite sculpture stands atop a low granite capital which rests atop a roof-like structure supported by four tall columns. The columns stand on a granite platform which ends in a two-step base. The granite base stands on a concrete pad.
