    Description: 
    A memorial consisting of two curved benches, the ends of which are formed as wings with three-toed claws at the bottom. The benches are placed atop a wide, semicircular stepped base.

    Remarks: 
    Given by Mrs. F. B. Robins of Toronto, Ontario, in memory of her son, Alfred Skitt Reed, a World War I veteran. The memorial was installed by workmen under the direction of Edward H. Shaw. H. L. Movius was the architect who supervised the work. The fountain that was part of the memorial suffered damage from a frozen water pipe and was placed in storage. IAS files contain unmounted photocopied images showing memorial with and without fountain. IAS files contain a related article from The Berkshire Courier (Massachusetts), Dec. 20, 1984.
