Inscription:  (On left front tablet:) GEORGIA/POULTRY PARK/Established 1977 (On right front tablet:) Gainesville, Georgia/POULTRY CAPITAL/of the/WORLD (On marble tablets, bronze plaques give history of poultry industry and its relationship to Georgia and Gainesville) Description:  A bronze rooster is mounted atop a spire made of Georgia marble. At the base of the spire, four marble tablets extend out from the center. Each tablet contains bronze plaques detailing the relationship of the poultry industry to Georgia and Gainesville. Gainesville is known as the cradle city of Georgia's poultry industry. The sculpture and park where it is sited cost approximately $35,000. The project was financed by the Georgia Poultry Federation, a network of poultry and poultry-related firms and individuals.
