    Description: 
    Full-length classical female figure. She wears a flowing robe and holds a vessel against her proper right hip. The concrete sculpture stands in the center of a concrete fountain basin.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was commissioned by developer James D. Newton. It was modeled after a similar sculpture in Chestnut Hill, PA. The sculpture was dedicated to the city in honor of Thomas A. Edison, a resident of Ft. Myers at the time. The sculpture was restored in 1983 by Donald Joseph Wilkins (Ft. Myers, FL), who also designed and installed special lighting around the sculpture.
