Description:
Site-specific bench with tile and raised relief motifs. The end and middle supports are made of terracotta-colored concrete. Mounted into and attached to the supports are brightly colored glazed tiles representing shapes from native Pomo basket designs, shells and leaves from local natural sources. Motifs collected from the municipal dump are also attached. The seat and back of the bench are made of salvaged old-growth redwood planks.

Remarks:
The planks on the bench were salvaged from a log which was sunk underwater 75-100 years in the local Albion river. Burrowing worms, living in the river, have made holes in some of the planks.
