A bronze eagle with its wings spread is perched atop a tall granite column which rests on a small square base.

Remarks:
The monument was erected in honor of all Dover soldiers and is installed on the training field used for militia drills from Revolutionary times through the Civil War. IAS files contain a copy of the Massachusetts Historical Commission Form C - Monuments questionnaire dated Nov. 1977.
