    Description: 
    A relief featuring an allegorical, nude male and female in proper right profile. They are depicted from the waist up. The figures overlap slightly. The female wears a Roman style, plumed helmet. A cloth drapes from one raised hand to the other behind her back. She holds a burning oil lamp in her proper left hand at eye-level and a tablet behind her in her proper right hand. The male carries a cog against his chest with his bent proper right arm. At the top of the relief, the number 2000 is carved out in individual numbers.

    Remarks: 
    The relief was awarded to the North American Cement Corporation of Howes Cave, New York by the Portland Cement Association for a perfect safety record in 1930. The relief was originally located at the corporation's plant in Howes Cave. At some point, it was moved to Interknitting, Ltd. in Cobleskill. IAS files contain a related excerpt from Accident Prevention Magazine XVII (First Quarter 1931): pg. 3-7+.
