    Description: 
    A rectangular bronze relief plaque featuring a profile portrait of Dr. William T. G. Morton is installed on the front of a rectangular base built of ashlar stones. The sculpture and base rest on a rectangular concrete base.

    Remarks: 
    The memorial was erected by the Worcester Dental Association. In 1987, the memorial was moved about seventy feet east and twelve feet north due to the widening of Worcester Road. When the memorial was relocated, it was installed on a new base funded by the American Society of Anaesthesiologists, The Massachusetts Society of Anaesthesiologists, and the Wood Library Museum in Chicago. IAS files contain a copy of the Massachusetts Historical Commission Form C - Monuments questionnaire dated March 28, 1978.
