    Description: 
    Three figures, a man, a woman, and a boy stand atop base. The man is dressed in overalls and holds a pair of binoculars to his chest with his proper right hand. He holds the proper right hand of the woman with his proper left hand. The woman stands in the center wearing a dress and places her proper left arm around the boy. The front of the base is decorated with the U.S. Air Force Observer and Civil Defense symbols.

    The sculpture honors those men and women, especially those from Cairo, Indiana, who volunteered their time and resources for "Operation Skywatch" in the 1950s during the Korean War.
