Inscription:  (On metal marker, approx. 2 ft. x 3 ft.:) IN MEMORY OF/NANCY WARD/PRINCESS AND PROPHETESS/OF THE CHEROKEE NATION/THE POCAHONTAS OF TENNESSEE/THE CONSTANT FRIEND/OF THE AMERICAN PIONEER/BORN 1738-DIED 1822/ERECTED BY/THE NANCY WARD CHAPTER/DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION/1923 unsigned Description:  A pyramid of stacked river rocks, cemented together. On the front of the pyramid is a metal marker with a small relief of a circular shield or compass between two arrowheads. The memorial is surrounded by a metal fence which also encloses another grave.
