    Remarks:
The artist's five year old son, Leo Kriner, was the model for the child in the sculpture. The sculpture was originally located in a niche on the Sacred Heart High School in Indianapolis. When the high school was demolished in 1979, the sculpture was bought from the demolition company by Leo Kriner and transferred to his residence in Brown County. After its removal from the school facade, but prior to its being moved to Brown County, the sculpture was damaged by children throwing rocks at it. The nose, one wing and toes of the figures were damaged. The angel's proper right wing was repaired.
IAS files contain newsclippings from the Spotlight (Indianapolis, IN), Jan. 25, 1979; and the Brown County Democrat, Jan. 2, 1985. IAS files also contain photocopies of historic photographs showing the sculpture installed on the school facade.
