    Remarks:
The artist was a patient at the hospital at the time the sculpture was made. He was inspired by the sculpture of Dionicio Rodriguez. The sculpture was originally sited across the street from its current location.
Plaque in front of sculpture: "During the winter of 1963-64, John W. Glasgow, a veteran of the CBI theater of WWII, created this cement bench and fence sculpture. Over the years the artwork has become endeared to the patients and visitors to this mountain top. The Vietnam Veterans of America, Arkansas Chapter 148 donates these flowers, trees and plaque to honor the artist, a fellow veteran. May all who view and enjoy this lovely setting be inspired to remember and do good for others as well. 1993." (Top half of plaque also has text in Braille).
