Remarks:
The sculpture and gravestone mark the burial site of the two wives of William Winslow, his first wife, Carrie T. VanEps, and his second wife, Elizabeth Agnes Conde. Carrie T. VanEps died in 1892. Elizabeth Agnes Conde died in 1931. William Ney Winslow died in 1953 at the age of 96 and is buried between his two wives. William Winslow paid for the sculpture. He may have hired an artist to create a composite of his two wives' faces that was used as a model for the figure. IAS files contain a related, undated article from the Westside News.
