    Description: 
    Full-length Confederate soldier stands at parade rest. Both hands hold the barrel of his rifle at waist level. The butt of the rifle rests on the plinth in front of the soldier's proper right foot. The proper right leg is straight and stands before a tree stump; the proper left leg is bent and slightly forward. The soldier wears a moustache, a full-brimmed hat, a short jacket with stand-up collar, trousers, and boots. He has a bedroll strapped over his proper left shoulder and an ammunition pack hangs at his proper right hip. He stands on a tall base with inscriptions on all sides. A cannonball sits on each corner near the bottom of the base.
