    Description: 
    An abstract sculpture composed of a six foot diameter cylinder that leans to one side. The cylinder is split vertically down the side with an 18" wide space that reveals the interior of the cylinder. The sculpture is painted white.

    Remarks: 
    Funded with a National Endowment for the Arts, Art in Public Places grant of $5,000 given in 1978 to the City of Grand Rapids. Additional funding was provided by the artist, Urban Concerns, Inc., and the Michigan Council for the Arts. The sculpture was originally created in 1975 for a Chicago exhibition entitled "Sculpture for a New Era." The title includes the word "terminator" which is the term used to describe the meeting of light and shadow on the surface of a planet.
