Inscription:  (On plaque on front of stele, in raised lettering:) FOR/ALL WHO SERVED/(four emblems)/IN MEMORY/OF ALL WHO FOUGHT AND DIED/TO PRESERVE FREEDOM/OF OUR COUNTRY IN ALL WARS (On circular plaque on back of stele, in raised lettering:) SICUT PATRIBUS SIT DEUS NOBIS/.CIVITATIS REGIMINE DONATA AD 1882./BOSTONIA/CONITA AD/1630/(On rectangular plaque on back of stele, in raised lettering:) IN GRAIITUDE TO THOSE WHO SERVED/THIS TABLET/IS DEDICATED IN THEIR MEMORY/(three names follow)/DORCHESTER ALLIED VETERANS COUNCIL unsigned Description:  A low granite stele adorned on the front and back with commemorative bronze plaques. The plaque on the front of the stele features four small circular emblems for military organizations and the City of Boston. A torch is engraved in the stele on either side of the plaque. On the back of the stele there is a rectangular inscription plaque and a circular plaque featuring a relief of the Boston Harbor.
