Description:
Site installation of a play structure consisting of three wooden platforms. The center platform is hexagonal; two pentagonal platforms are attached to it. Around the perimeters of the platforms are wooden railings supporting five box drums, three sets of percussion pipes and three xylophones (PVC pipes with aluminum plates wired across). Each of the three platform musical areas is "tuned" differently but all are pitched in pentatonic scale. The installation is reached by a railed wooden walkway. The entire installation is elevated and supported by wood posts.

Remarks:
The artist was assisted by students in the school. The playscape was constructed while the artist was serving as musician-in-residence at the school. IAS files contain copy of related dedication ceremony invitation.
