    Remarks: 
    The sculpture is a replica of the grizzly bear on the Missouri State Seal and is reported to be one of the largest sculptures in the U.S. carved from a single block of stone. The artist worked with two scale models, nicknamed "Meeny Mo" and "Eeny Mo". The $8,000 sculpture was funded by the State Board of Public Buildings. The base has aluminum stripping on one side to prevent water from collecting.
