    Remarks: 
    The unicorn is a character from the story "The Unicorn in the Garden," by James Thurber (1894-1961), a native of Columbus. The unicorn is male and popularly known as "Lily." IAS files include the full text of the story taken from the book "The Thurber Carnival," (New York: Random House, 1957), quoting from "Fables for our Time," where the story first appeared. The text is on a nearby plaque. IAS files also include an excerpt from The Thurber House Organ, a newsletter of Thurber House, (Summer 1988) vol. 6 no. 1.
