Remarks:
Fountain was a stock item from J.L. Mott Iron Works. The fountain has been known by a variety of titles. Theodore N. Haller installed the fountain in honor of the community's pioneers, including his father Granville O. Haller, who was the first commander of Fort Townsend. The fountain was vandalized in 1992 when three parts were stolen from it. It was removed and re-cast (see related IAS record WA000300). IAS files contain copies of related articles from Port Townsend Jefferson County Leader, May 20, 1992 and Sept. 1, 1993 and a copy of unpublished material from the Port Townsend Historical Society.
