Description:
Standing figure of Cavalry officer Robert Milroy set on two blocks of limestone set in the center of four limestone steps with a limestone bench behind it. He is wearing a double breasted knee-length jacket and a long cape pushed back over his proper left arm. His proper right hand is holding a hat by his side. His proper left hand is holding the hilt of a sword which rests on his proper left in the rear.

Remarks:
Mary Washburn was the primary artist of the monument and William Mackey was the carver of the pedestal. There is a state historical marker nearby which reads: GENERAL/ROBERT H. MILROY/1816-1890/WAS APPOINTED COLONEL OF THE 9th/INDIANA INFANTRY LATER PROMOTED TO/BRIGADIER AND MAJOR GENERAL. HE SAW/EXTENSIVE ACTION IN WESTERN VIRGINIA./AFTER THE WAR HE SERVED AS INDIAN/AGENT IN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON.
