Remarks:
Title supplied by Inventory cataloger.
The sculpture was created in response to a call from Lady Bird Johnson to beautify "junk or scrap" yards and make them more palatable. Mr. Kolpack was one of the first to respond in 1962. At the time of the sculpture's creation there were 40 trees, only 23 remain today. Some were lost during Hurricane Celia in 1970.
